Lee Fields is a bona-fide, pure, 100% unadulterated, gut-bucket soul singer. While the crate-digging funk and soul community bestowed "legendary" status upon him due to his undeniably solid series of 7" singles and LPs released in the 70s, he's never been one to sit in a dusty corner. Touring in support of the brand new record Faithful Man, his second release on Truth & Soul Records. Making it the hottest soul concert to hit Ottawa this year, the Expressions will be accompanied by Ottawa's own smooth purveyors of soul and reggae: SLIM MOORE & the MAR-KAYS.

One of the hardest working, most appreciatively celebrated and gracefully understated songwriters in Canada's National Capital, John Carroll follows up on his sold out album release show at the Blacksheep Inn back in January. 'Everybody Smokes in Hell' is agruably John's finest effort to date, continuing his legacy of creating original and authentic songs that combine influences in country blues, folk roots and rock n' roll. Performing on this occasion with the superbly talented guitarist and songwriter Joe Grass, well known by Ottawa audiences for his performances alongside the Vinyl Cafe with Stuart Mclean.
